This view shows the rear corner of the Damascus, MD home. The 4" picture frame trim around the windows creates a nice contrast in color. This side of the house receives sun and shade during most of the day. Siding colors will appear lighter when the sun shines. The Timber Bark siding color is becoming a popular choice.

This photo shows a closer view of the Hardie Timber Bark lap siding. Be sure to hire an Elite Preferred Siding Contactor when having Hardie products installed. This is extremely important with custom details. Many siding contractors aren't experienced with this product line. Improper installation will void the 30 Year Hardie Warranty.

This home in Damascus, MD had cedar siding on the exterior. The homeowner wanted a fresh new look! 

​This house was built in 1930. The original wood siding was starting to warp and peel. There was rot in several locations. The owner knew it was time to either paint or replace the siding. After pricing both options, they decided it was time for a change. The owner researched many different exterior products. Hardie siding was the best option to restore the orignal wood look.  Hardie house wrap was installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardieplank cedarmill siding was installed. The color of this home is Timber Bark. Hardie products are an excellent way to recreate the look of wood without the maintenance. The front porch rails and columns were also replaced with durable materials. This customer now has a beautiful, low maintenance exterior. Custom Concepts Construction, Inc. is an Elite Preferred Siding Contractor for James Hardie Products.

Here you can see a closer view of the front porch columns. They were manufactured by HB&G. There is a slight taper from top to bottom. They are fiberglass and require field painting. Hardie colors can be matched at any Sherwin Williams location. The new look is very welcoming as you appoach the home. 

This photo shows a view of the siding installed on the right side. The Arctic White trim at the bootom is called band trim. This detail is great when choosing a darker color. Not all siding contractors are capable of correctly installing this much detail. Be sure to hire Hardiesiding contactors directly from their website.

This image shows a view from the right side. The Arctic White trim creates an appealing contrast to the Timber Bark Hardie Siding. This side of the house receives more sunlight. Notice how the siding color looks slightly lighter? An Arctic White band trim was installed where the siding connects to the foundation. This adds additional contrast when choosing a darker color.

Here you see closer view of the electric meter. It was painted to match the siding color. Notice the detail in the siding texture?

This is a closer view of the dormer on the front of the home. The trim was replaced with Hardie trim in Arctic White. The existing bronze window frames blend well with the Timber Bark Hardie siding. The trim color creates an appelaing contrast with the siding color. 

Here you see an image from the front of the home. The original railings were replaced with PVC Colonial Porch Rails. This profile is a close match to the existing design. It is now low maintenance and durable.
