The front porch was given a complete face lift. The ceiling and beam trim were both replaced. The ceiling is a Hardie Panel in Arctic White. The beam has Hardie Trim. This is a great view of the Hardie Shingle Siding. All Hardie siding & trim colors have a matching paint sold by Sherwin Williams.
Provia Signet Series doors compliment Hardie Siding products very well. There was a lot of attention to detail provided to the front of this home. Here is a close up of the Hardie Shingle Siding with an inside corner detail. The inside corner is made out of trim coil in the matching Aged Pewter color. This home in Rockville, MD had the original vinyl siding and stone on the exterior that was very outdated. The original exterior was in rough condition and the owner knew it was time for a transformation!
This house was built in 1987. The original vinyl siding was fading and warping in many areas. There was stone on the frontporch that was cracking. The owners were ready for a complete exterior transformation and new color scheme. After doing their research, they decided Hardie siding and Provia doors were the right building materials for their sidding and door tranformation. Hardie siding was the best option to for durability and design. Hardie house wrap was installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardie shingle and was installed as an accent. The color of this home is Aged pewter. This color has become a top choice for Rockville home owners. Hardie products create the look of wood without the maintenance. A Provia Signet Series front entry door was installed. The rear door was replaced with a Provia Heritage French Door System this home now has a beautiful, low maintenance exterior. All the porch columns were replaced with Hardie trim. These columns are 8" with a small corwn detail at the top. The bay window trim was also replaced with Hardie panels and trim. The Hardie siding installation specifications require a z flashing above a horizontal patio with a 2' clearance.
