This home in A rlington, VA had cedar siding on the exterior. The homeowner wanted a new look!

This house was built in 1980. The original wood siding was starting to warp, rot and water was starting to cause additional damage. The owner knew it was time to replace the siding. The owner researched many different exterior products. Hardie siding was the best option to restore the orignal wood look. They wanted the house to have a unique appeal. This custom design brought thier vision to life! Hardie house wrap was installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardieplank Deep Ocean smooth siding was installed in several areas as an accent. The main Reveal style siding panels are Light Mist. This adds a very modern appeal. The lower level received Hardie's Sierra 8 siding panel. This section was painted to match Hardie Boothbay Blue. Hardie products are an excellent way to create a modern design without maintenance. This customer now has a beautiful, low maintenance exterior. This is a closer view of the round window on the side of the home. The trim was replaced with 4" pvc trim and painted Arctic White. The window was replaced with a Provia vinyl window during the installation. Sierra 8 was used for the siding in this area. Notice the detail in the siding texture.
