This photo shows a closer view of the garage. This board & batten style has become popular in contemprary Rockville homes. Adding a Hardie band trim @ grade is a cost effective architectural detail. The most cost effective time to replace your exterior trim is when the siding is replaced. Not all siding contractors are capable of correctly installing these details. The front entry was also given a face lift. The ceiling and beam trim were both replaced. The ceiling is a Hardie Panel in Cobble Stone. The beam has Hardie Trim installed. The columns were replaced with 12" Hardie trim w/ a 4" piece @ the top and 6" at the bottom. All Hardie siding & trim colors have a matching paint sold by Sherwin Williams.
Fypon gable vents were installed and painted to Match the Night Grey. Sherwin Williams Durations is the recommended paint. Fypon products compliment Hardie Siding products very well. Be sure to ask your Hardie siding contractor about door options before it's too late! Hardie Siding has been gaining popularity in Sterling, VA.
